Why can't I connect to any wifi on my Nexus 5, 5.0.1?

[AC Question]

Cannot connect to any WiFi, Nexus 5, 5.0.1

I got my Nexus 5 earlier today, managed to connect to wifi just fine and downloaded all the updates, but once I got to 5.0.1. I started having issues with my wifi disconnecting every 10 seconds, after an hour it would not reconnect again.

I've tried a factory reset and all the other things that fix it for some people, including but not limited to, turning airplane mode on & off, changing the wifi frequency, turning the phone on and off.

I'm considering downgrading to 4.4.4 at this point, but I would rather have a last try at finding a fix.
