How do I put icons on the desktop?

Putting icons on the desktop

Up to a week ago I worked with a Samsung Galaxy S2 which allowed me to put the icon for "bluetooth" and "sound" on my desktop, so I could easily change these settings without browsing through a menu tree. As far as I can see, this possibility no lonnger exists on my Galaxy S5 mini, or am I wrong?

Install power control widged, and put it on the desktop.
