I have a Nexus 7, which I bought in 2012ish. It worked well till a few years, without battery problems, and in 2014, I did encounter some problems, but I easily dealt with them. But suddenly, once after playing on it, and dropping thebattery to 40%, I kept it for a charge. few hours later, I see the battery is at 40. so I switched it off and started it the next morning, but the same issue wasthere. then I saw some forum, which said that charging itfor 24 hours, with the device power off would cure that. well I did so, and now its completely crashed. Please help. thanks in advance

The battery may be in very bad condition....better get it checked. Of course, there may be faults other than battery, but there's nothing diagnostic you can do with it until you get it working.

Also, make sure the charger, lead, and USB port are good.
