Why is my Droid Turbo all of a sudden powering off on its own?

Over the last couple weeks my Droid Turbo has decided to power off suddenly on its own. Most of the time it will power back on normally by holding the power button. A few times I had to hook it up to a charger, even with a full battery, to power it back up. Has anyone experienced or heard of this sort of issue with the turbo? I don't think it is related to any apps recently added to the phone, as I've uninstalled most of those.

Welcome to Android Central! If it's doing a complete power down on its own, I'd talk to Verizon or to Motorola. It sounds like a hardware problem. Maybe it's just a defective battery, but that would still have to be taken care of by Motorola.
