Samsung Galaxy S4 Crashing/Will not work without facebook installed?

Went to delete my Facebook on the computer no problems; once I opened my phone everything was shutting down? I tried closing out excess apps but that seemed to add more usage &memory that was coming from nowhere? Now all of my contacts names are gone..numbers are still there but I'm not sure calling everyone in my contact list to ask who is who is something I need to do.... I've had this happen before when just trying to delete the Facebook application from the phone. Only thing that brought my phone back to being usable again was re installing the app.

How do I make my phone work without having Facebook control it?

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by deleting Facebook on the computer? Did you delete Facebook from your phone using your computer? If so, how did you do that? It's not a typical way of uninstalling an app.

Is Facebook preinstalled on your S4, or is it something you had to install yourself?
