Why aren't my photos visible after factory reset of Galaxy Note 2?

photos not visible after factory reset of galaxy note2

I had to factory reset my galaxy note 2 as it was not connecting to my laptop. before doing reset, I copied all the photos and videos on my laptop through my sd card, but they were not visible on the laptop. now after factory reset when I am trying to reload and check the photos, they are not visible. They are very important photos of my family.is there a way to recover these files

Welcome to Android Central! SD cards can be glitchy, especially on Samsung devices. When you copied them over to the laptop via SD, did you check to make sure the photos were accessible before doing the factory reset?

When you insert the SD card into the computer, does Windows Explorer recognize the SD card? If so, are you saying that nothing shows up in the directory where you copied the photos?

You may have to try a program like DiskDigger or PhotoRec.
