Samsung galaxy S5 mini headphone problem

Out of the blue whilst sitting on my desk, nowhere near liquid or dust or anything really the headphone sign appeared on my phone indicating that I had plugged headphones in when I had not. I have tried blowing air into it, I have done a cache reset thingy, switched it off and back on and I have tried putting headphones in and out but to no avail.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted

Re: Samsung galaxy S5 mini headphone problem

Welcome to Android Central! The main things that can cause that are debris in the headphone jack (usually a big chunk of metal, not just dust) or a faulty jack. My guess the latter. You probably need to get the jack replaced. The phone is presumably still under warranty, so contact Samsung.
