AC Question

I have the notification that tells me Android 5.0 is ready to be installed and applied to my phone and whatnot, but if I do that the majority of my game apps won't work. They aren't compatible with the Lollipop update (so it says in their descriptions on the Play Store), so I don't want it. All good and well, but the notification doesn't go away, all I can do is postpone it. Is there a way to avoid it completely and get rid of the notification?

If you root the phone, the update will start, but find that the phone is rooted and stop (telling you that it "failed").

If you root the phone, then freeze the update app, it won't look for an update - when a notice is sent to you, there's no app running to receive it, so it's ignored.)

If you root, then use the phone normally, not running any apps that need root, it won't make any difference - you'll still have the same phone you have now, with the addition of one file and one app which you can't "run" (you can open it and set things, but it only does something when another app asks for root).
