You have a quart bottle. There's 32 ounces of water in it. How do you add more water? Obviously the only way is to spill out some of the water that's in it.

The same thing with your phone. You have a fixed amount of storage. If you want to store more, you have to get rid of some of the things you already have stored. You can't "make the bottle larger" (add more storage). About all you can do is add an SD card and put your pictures, videos, music, etc., on the card, freeing up internal storage.

The music player on My Galaxy S4 doesn't see the music on my SD card. I can only play 1 song at a time from the memory card and to do that, i have to go through the file folder... there must be a better way right?
