My Wife's S5 & Hudl has suddenly started showing adverts for Candy Crush / Clash of Clans when it wakes up from sleep.
The S5 has no games installed on it, but the Hudl has so I'm guessing it's something tied to her google account. I have tried all the usual pop up ad detectors and anti virus / malware apps with no joy. The ad that pops up links direct to the playstore. I have a picture of the pop up if that helps. Any help on getting rid of the ads would be great - Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Are there any apps that were user-installed? It doesn't have to be a game to carry adware--it could have been some utility. "RAM cleaners" are notorious for this kind of behavior.

Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK. For the S5, follow the steps at the bottom of this article: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the popup. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the popups persists in Safe Mode, then some preinstalled app on the Hudl carries adware, which is really unacceptable. Complain to Tesco.
