Why won't my Galaxy S5 receive group texts from iphone

I switched from an iphone to a Galaxy S5 and now I will not receive group texts from iphone users. My son tries to send messages to my husband and I to let us know hes ok and I don't receive a single one. I have no idea when I should pick him up because I only receive a text from an iphone if they text me directly. It is extremely frustrating, I am thinking the switch to S5 was not a good idea.
