What is the "EKG" symbol when I'm trying to call? Samsung S4/Verizon

[AC Question]

When calling a contact or keyed in phone number, I have a set of vertical points (like a medical screen) with a horizontal line through it. It's green. I can't hear anyone pick up the phone or answer. I have been trying to call my husband's phone and voice mail answers although I can't hear anything. Messages have been left but I can't talk to anyone.

What have I done? What can I do.

Really not sure what you are referring to. Not sure what a medical screen looks like. Could you post a screen shot, showing this? You may try the manual (click link to download) pages 35 and 36.
