Yesterday(28.2.15) i dropped my HTC one m7 in the toilet and i took it out straight away, it werent even in the water for more than 3 seconds. it worked perfectly, the speakers, touchscreen, camera... and then i tried to charge it. it wouldnt charge and when it completely died a red exclamation mark comes up on the screen inside a battery shape. when it's plugged in it will come on but says its on 0% battery with a red line crossed through the battery in the right hand corner.
could i have some advice on what to do please?
shall i get a battery replacement?
    is my phone completely broken?

Even if you replace the battery and all seems well, there may be ongoing corrosion which will cause failure of the device in the future. Read this by Rukbat:

You did two things wrong. 1) You didn't remove the battery immediately (yes, I know, you'd have to break the back cover off to get it unplugged fast - a new cover is cheaper than a new phone) and 2) you supplied even more power to burn things out than the battery alone could do.

As Belodion said, it's going to fail completely eventually.
