How do I back up my Galaxy Ace S5830i EFS?

Galaxy Ace S5830i EFS backup

Hi

I am trying to backup an EFS on galaxy ace S5830i, this phone is in bootloop so I want to back up before flashing, EFS pro seems to have a message on it device not connected, another galaxy ace I have S5839i connects to the pc via windows so I presume the drivers are there unless they are different for this model.
As I cannot boot this phone I cannot use an android app, is there a way through recovery. I think TWRP has a function of backing up but I cannot get it to work, it says its installed but then goes back to the android recovery on reboot.

Samsung did one thing right - almost all their phones use the same driver.

You can back anything up if you can get adb to connect to the phone - you use dd. But you have to know the blocks you're backing up, and where the EFS blocks are varies from model to model. Try XDA Forums to see if anyone knows where they are on that phone.

If the phone is so bad that the computer won't even recognize it, your only hope is a JTAG - and getting that done could cost more than the phone.
