I've tried fully charging it, I've turned it off and taken the battery out and then put it back in an turned it back on. I still have a black screen. I don't know what else to do or hat is wrong with it. It had a cracked screen, I was still able to use it without any problems. One night I went to bed, I plugged it in like I always do before I go to sleep and when I woke up, the screen was black and it won't work. I can hear the normal noises when I turn it off and an but cannot see anything

Something that may cause a device to suddenly stop working is water damage. If it has ever been dropped in water, any water remaining inside will cause ongoing corrosion until the device fails.

Welcome to Android Central! Besides that, the screen itself might just have failed, perhaps related to the previous drop. You'll need to get it replaced Unfortunately, it probably won't be covered by warranty, since there's evidence of damage. Do you have insurance for the phone?
