Android settings shows my Google+ app is using up 5G of data

When I look in settings I see that my Google+ so is using up 5G of data. That seems ridiculously high.

I deleted all videos and pics from my device (nexus 5). So everything is in the cloud. So then what's causing the days for the app to be so high?

And if I click the Clear Data button in the settings page for the app what does is clear? Could it clear my pics from the cloud? I would freak out of that happened.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Welcome to AC :)
Do you mean in data usage or in your storage? If you clear data, it will only delete cache and any accounts/settings you had saved. It won't delete any of your data if it's stored in the cloud
