    I been thinking to get my girlfriend a new tablet given that his Nexus 7 (2012) died some time ago, my budget it's not really high ($300 USD tops) and at this moment I have these tablets in mind:

    * Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 - 16 GB ($240 USD) (Refurbished)
    * Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 - 16 GB ($280 USD)
    * Nvidia Shield Tablet - 16 GB ($300 USD)

    She'll use the tablet mainly for reading, and in some occasions for social networks, videos playback and gaming. Maybe I'm overlooking another good tablet, and someone could help me decide for one.

    Thanks beforehand for the help.

    Welcome to Android Central!

    16 GB LG G Pad 7", which also has LTE (good on AT&T or T-Mobile), for $110 on Groupon Goods. This is new, not refurbished. LG G Pad 16GB 7" Tablet with 4G LTE Compatibility (GSM Unlocked) | Groupon

    They also have the 8.3" LG G Pad, but this one can use Verizon's network, for $145. Refurbished: LG G Pad 16GB 8.3" Tablet with WiFI + 4G LTE for Verizon | Groupon

    Acer generally makes decent devices. This refurbished 16 GB A1-840 (8") is only $85. Acer Iconia 16GB 8" Tablet with Android OS | Groupon

    And of course, you can find the 2013 Nexus 7 for a good price in lots of places. Here's a 16 GB, new, for $175 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Google-7...cUvbUpU4268133
