Rooting a tablet device

Hi, I have a Genesis GT 8320 device and I was thinking on rooting it. The reason I want to root it is because I want to install an app (Game Killer) in order to hack Trials Frontier, and a rooted Android device is a requirement. The thing is, I have 0 knowledge on coding or customizing Android devices and doing research I found and just finished reading "Editorial: Sometimes, root isn't the answer" by Jerry Hildenbrand, and started wondering if it would be a good idea...
My question is what do you recommend, should or shouldn't I root my tablet?

Re: Rooting a tablet device

When you choose to root your device, you are essentially taking the devices life in your hands. There is a possibility of bricking your device. Its a minimal risk, but still there.
There also is a possibility that there is no root processes for your device. There aren't too many universal root methods, and depending on when your software was built, most may not work.

The discussion of game or other app hacks is prohibited on the forums.
