My phone was stolen the other day. Is there a way to erase contacts and apps from PC or set to factory default?

    Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

    Sorry to hear that.
Unless you remember turning off Android Device Manager in Settings - General - Device Administrators, then ADM should still work with your Gmail address and password.

    www.google.com/android/devicemanager

It may not be able to Locate it, if the phone is either off or the Location setting is off, but you can still leave a command to either Lock, or Wipe / Reset your device as soon as it is turned back on with a signal.

If you are not sure if it was stolen, you can decide to leave a new Lock, with a message on the screen for the finder to call, and a contact number which will become a dial button they can use on the lock screen to call you.
