Why can't I dial extensions during phone calls (or press anything but End)?

I cannot dial extensions during phone calls (or press anything but End)

Recently my phone has changed what it does during a phone call, not sure if it's from an update or something. I no longer have buttons to press at the bottom of the screen, like an they keypad to dial extensions, speaker, etc. I now see the person's picture on the top half of the screen and an End button I need to slide to end a call, but that is it. Not sure if I somehow accidentally changed the call settings or updated my phone but any way I can get it back to the original would be great (it's made calling any company a real pain!)

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Which Android version is it running? Go to Settings>About Phone>Android Version​ to find out.
