my galaxy s4 has no external sound it is not the loud speaker

I replaced the loud speaker it is not that could it be something to do with the motherboard. Something may have shorted out

Welcome to Android Central! You're probably right. Not sure the best way to test that. Are you willing to bring it to a qualified technician to test? Or would you rather swap out the motherboard yourself?
