Why the display of my Smartphone has lost resolution and shows vague with lines?

Mine is Micromax Canvas Duet II. It has issues with Display. It is not clear. I see lines lines across and in behind stretches with different colors. I doubt hardware problem. It happened all on a sudden. can you suggest the solution. It is a new handset. Thanks.
