How many pages in PDF file before bad response time?

I have a 400-page PDF file. About 2.6Meg. I know how to put it on my Galaxy S4 mini with Android 4.4.2. And I've opened smaller PDFs on the phone before. Will I be able to readily open and read this large PDF file? Or should I break it down into smaller files? (I can break the file up using my desktop, not the phone.) I don't have any added memory, etc. on the phone. Just whatever it came with. And although I know my phone will open PDFs, is there an app that I should use for better performance, especially making it bigger to read?
