    Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

I wouldn't risk losing any data from there you may need, copy it elsewhere and move any app data back to device storage.
Try unmounting it in Storage settings, and try it in a pc if you have an adapter.

My experience and what I read generally is the Android device reports it as unexpectedly unmounted, then re-mounts itself, and will eventually corrupt and fail permanently. Maybe you got that message from your pc.

You can also try the SD Insight app, and chkdsk on a pc.

I learned to do without one on a 32gb Note 3.

Your best bet is to buy a SanDisk card. In all the years I've been buying them (long before smart phones), I've never had one fail (except the one I broke, and it still works, I'm just afraid to pull it out of the slot - it may not come out in one piece).

If you ever do have trouble with one of their cards, you just go to SanDisk microSD Tech Support, open a live chat (upper right on the screen) and they'll get you going. (If the card is still under warranty, they'll replace it.) Easy to work with.
