Why is my volume so low when watching video's?

volume is too low when watching video's

me and my husband both have the droid maxx and his volume is really loud but is too low to hear even with it turned all the way up, how can i fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! How about with wired or Bluetooth headphones, or a Bluetooth speaker? If sound is normal through those, then you might have a faulty speaker.

Also make sure the speaker isn't obscured by something (like a case, or debris or gunk lodged in the speaker grille).
