Most of my audio files were somehow deleted?

I realized I was getting a very small variety of songs on my shuffle player app, I searched for a certain song and for some reason it wasn't there. I looked more and actually most of my songs are missing. I looked on my two other music playing apps, Music Visualizer and Amazon Music, and the same songs were missing. Then I looked in my actual files and they weren't there. I have an app for recovering deleted files and it says nothing was deleted. I just listened to them yesterday, so I'm not sure what happened. I had about 150 songs and now only 30 or so. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how do you fix it if you can?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Were the music files on Internal Storage or an SD card? If the latter, the card may have become corrupted.
