Will a nexus 6 model 1103 work on the Movistar network in Mexico?

was told by customer support at moto.com that the 1103 model only works in the usa, i doubt that. I want to purchase one and need the phone to work in both USA and Mexico, for that matter will the model 1103 work globally? my bad if this question has been asked before.
I do have a nexus 5 usa model and it works great in mexico on the movistar network.
