is restarting my phone periodically good or bad?

I normally restart my phone at least once a week. I was just wondering if it is ok.

Unless the phone is acting strange, it's a waste of time and battery, but it won't harm anything. (I've left mine on for weeks at a time without resetting, and I've reset it multiple times in one day. It's a computer, but it's not Windows 95 - it doesn't have to be rebooted regularly.)
