Why doesn't my regular speaker on my phone work, only the speaker phone works?

Only speaker phone works

The ear piece dont work.
also, its take time to connect my calls
can I talk to someone in person?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Is it only that you can't hear the person? Can they hear you? If it's just that you can't hear the person unless you're on speakerphone or wired/Bluetooth headsets, then the phone's earpiece speaker has likely failed.
