how to change apps position on Galaxy nexus

so I am on the home screen , and look down you can see the circle button with 6 dots inside , I press the circle and goes into a page with Apps and Widgets , there I have a lot of apps , but I found out they are place in the order I download them , I want to move them to the position I want ,

But I found out everytime I long press on an apps it bring me back to the home screen , instead of stay in the apps and widget page ,

what to do , I hope I can add a screen print of my Galaxy nexus , but can't
this is the screen print of my galaxy nexus apps and widget page

I don't know the Nexus launcher. Some launchers allow you to sort by date or name, but that's about it. You can't move things around freely. Long pressing an app in the app drawer is to create a shortcut on the homescreen, it's not to move the app around.
