Why does the LED notification light not blink or work on Droid Maxx?

I don't have anything showing to let me know that I have a missed call, text ,or email. I don't have a beep or anything if I'm on the phone and get a text!

Searching around it looks the phone actually does not have LED notifications. I don't use the one on my Note 4, I actually use Dynamic Notifications. It is an awesome app and basically mimics what active notifications that are on the Moto X. It takes a little time to set up but once you get it going its pretty sweet. I use the breath notification and set it to 15 seconds so when I get a text or something the text icon shows up in black and white and fades in and out every 15 seconds. I also use the feature that turns the app off from 9pm to 6am so it is night lighting up while I sleep.
