my phone takes forever to go from one app to another. I am on wifi virtually all the time and that is chosen on my phone. frequently phone will lock up and black screen on me, no buttons work, and I take battery out to fix. I choose an app and before I even get there I get a 'page not responding' msg but I try immediately after and the app opens. wondering if getting a larger sd card would resolve any of this? I am using the original sd card that came with the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! A larger SD card wouldn't necessarily help--but a new SD card might, if the one you have right now is corrupt. Try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), removing it, and plugging it into your computer's SD reader. Run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...d-sd-card.html

Also, try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
