How can I get the arrows for the device manager to disappear?,

Have a Galazy Alpha, after activating It last might, the 2 arrows popped up and when I swiped down to investigate further, I got the message the device is downloading a software update. Howevet, over 24 hours later nothing has changed. Arrows stI'll there and update message too.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you connected successfully to the web, either on wi-fi or mobile data? What happens when you swipe the notification panel down and tap that notification? Does it bring you to the system updater, where you can see the progress?

You could try wiping the cache partition. Follow the steps in this video, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition. When complete, then select Reboot System Now.
