How do I get my phone paired to play music?

I finally got my phone paired and I thought it would pair voice and music but it doesn't. Blue tooth is on and my phone has that car multi-media is paired. please help me be able to listen to my music through my car radio

Is your radio set to play music from your phone? Some units need you to select BT audio as a source in order for you to hear it.

Also, if you're paired successfully, when you place a call or receive one, does the car unit kick in or does the phone make/take the call as if it were not connected?
