Google Now is lagging when starting

I currently on a tmobile samsung galaxy note 4 running the latest stock rom KitKat 4.4.4. When I start Google now and attempt to type in the information it takes almost 20 seconds for the cursor to appear and for the letters that I type to appear what's causing this lag and what can I do to stop it

Welcome to Android Central!

Try clearing the data from the app to reset it. Go to settings, Application Manager, All Apps, Google, Clear data. Open the app again and see if that fixed the issue.

that was the first thing I did, did not work... eneded up resetting my phone...
