I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I had this already a few times, the battery drains completely during the night.I charged my phone last night,it was 100% at midnight and drained completely and phone off at 9 am.This doesn't happen every night, but it did happen already 4 times since I have the phone.Sometimes I notice it during the day also, when I see the battery draining very, very fast with no reason.

You have to find out what's draining it. Download gsam from playstore and run a couple of cycles. If you can't figure out what's doing it post the results and help will find you

I've got a quick question actualy, for the first 5-10% the battery seems to drain quite quickly but then settles down. Why does the first 10% drain so quickly?

I could literally take my phone of the charges and check it a few times and withing 30 mins 2% has already gone down.

Oncew th phone indicates a 100% charge, leave it on the charger for another 30 minutes. then see if the same thing happens. I won't go into the technical details, but at the moment the phone first indicates that it's at 100% charge when it's on the charger, it's actually at about 98% charge.
