Is there anything built into Samsung Galaxy S3 to save photos somewhere besides Gallery?

Is there a file you can save a pic to without it being in Gallery?
I see the files under "My Files" but deleting pic in Gallery also deletes pic under "
My Files" even after renaming it. I see where you can "hide" folders/albums in Gallery but it seems like you only have to click "Show Hidden" for them to reappear.
I would like somewhere obscure to save some photos.

Get the ''Vault'' app from the play store! You can secure your videos and pictures with password. When you take a picture or download it, you can transfer it to Vault and you won't have it in your gallery, just in Vault.
