I just bought the S6 phone yesterday and have been trying to download the Gear Fit software to use my Samsung Smart Watch. For some reason the S6 will not properly download the file from Samsung.com. I have the SM-R3500ZKAXAR watch. I used to have the S3 phone and had zero issues loading the software. I am puzzled, I called Samsung and they were really no help!
Lollipop is not compatible yet with the Gear Fit Samsung smartwatch manager. Samsung / Google are working on this issue. No time line has been given yet on when the app will appear through Google Play Store to fix this issue.
I am having the same issue. Just bought Galaxy S6 Edge and my Gear Fit wont work...and it was a recent Christmas gift to me from my kids. I hope they get this updated soon! Right now it is just a $150 decorative wristband!
The Gear Fit Manager App is now available on the samsung apps, but it still wont connect to my gear fit :c
Samsung dropped the ball on this one. They are becoming more and more like Apple.
Kinda surprised by this form Samsung. With their new round smartwatch coming I bet all the gear one's will stop working at midnight.
Finally I got my gear fit working on the S6 edge. Just update Gear Fit firmware via odin . I'm using R350XXU0BOA2 firmware.
I finnaly got my Galaxy S6 edge to work with my Gear Fit R350
I am using the firmware ver. R350XXU0BOA2 which I installed with ODIN. But that did not fix the problem. The bluetooth would stay not connected.
I sent by email (from my computer) the older version of GEAR FIT MANAGER , and downloaded the file from GMAIL on my phone.
I enabled UNKOWN SOURCES on galaxy S6 edge, which can be found on SETTINGS / LOCK SCREEN AND SECURITY , so the phone would allow me to install the .apk file (older version of GEAR FIT MANAGER) file name is: GearFitManager_OA2_1.116.0227_user.apk
Once I installed it, it worked fine.
The only problem is that a few times a day it asks me if I want to update GEAR FIT MANAGER, and I accidentally hit ok. After that, I had to uninstall the updated gear fit manager, and reinstalll the older version again.
This is really great information, and I'm sure it works, but i'm not techy enough to work all that out. I'm really upset with Samsung not thinking about this as they come out with a new phone that they want everyone to upgrade to. Is there any way to explain how to download from odin. Where do go to start?

I downloaded the gear fit manager app through the play store to connect my phone to the watch... Not sure if that's any help...
Is there a way to install an app that should have came with the device? My gear fit is missing the sleep application. I can't seem to find this fix anywhere. I've talked to Samsung tech, I've searched all over the internet, and still, nothing. Please help.
I fixed mine by going to apps.samsung.com/gearfit manager on my s6 edge and clicking download... i had already had it downloaded on my phone from previously but it needed to be updated through samsung apps for it to connect and work with the gear fit watch :-) i hope this is helpful :-)
