Black screen after replacing charging port on Note 3

AC Question

I bought a replacement charge port for my Samsung Note 3; I found a you tube video that explained how to do it, and I easily replaced it. It powers on, but my screen is black now. I have tried a different battery, rebooting several times, nothing. I didn't even touch anything other than what I needed to. Any ideas??

Welcome to Android Central! I'd guess that you either loosened some connection while replacing the charging port, or there might have been some static discharge that fried a circuit.

The exact same thing happened to me after replacing my charging port. I kept trying the black screen repairs to no avail. When I checked out the video on this thread, I was able to figure out that one of the tabs (near the power switch) had dislodged when I replaced the charging port. It must have happened when I was pulling off the cover after removing the screws. Worked like a charm!!
