can i use the sim card from my cell phone in the smartwatch phone that I'm thinking about purchasing

I'm thinking about purchasing a smartwatch phone that come with a sim card. my question is this, do I have to take on an additional phone bill, or, can I go back and forth using the sim card that presently in my cell phone, as I would like to keep the same number without having to fork over more money

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on a couple of things:

(1) The smartwatch has to accept the same size SIM card. If the phone has a microSIM and the watch uses a nanoSIM card, then you'd have to cut the microSIM in order for it to fit in the watch. You would then need a microSIM adapter to put it back into the phone.

(2) The smartwatch has to be compatible with your carrier (i.e., it has to be able to access the carrier's network bands).
