All was smooth in my Note 2. Was able to see the songs in Music, make Playlists etc. Somehow since last 3 days, no song files are seen in Music. I can see the files in "My Files" and also play it from there but that's not convenient at all.

Not sure what went wrong. Searched the net for solutions but none worked.

    Help pls.

Hello, I had similar issue in the past on a galaxy S3. It appears all my music was on the sdcard and the sd card was dying. Because of this the phone was always scanning for new media. If music is on the sdcard check that the sdcard is not regularly mounted/unmounted (could be a sign of card wearing).

You can also find a few android application that will force the phone to rescan all media (ie songs). Look for "media scanner" on the android market.
Another reason could be that an application (or you!) add a file name ".nomedia" at the root of your music folder.
Just remove this file and rescan.

    Hope this will help
