The power button no longer gives the option to mute or vibrate. Only for airplane, emergency, power, or restart. I want to be able to quickly put my phone on mute or vibrate AND/OR put it on mute or vibrate while locked like I used to be able to before the update today, which negatively changed all kinds of things.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? I assume it was the Lollipop update. This is something that has been the subject of many complaints. To put the phone on vibrate, press and hold the Vol Down button until the volume slider goes to zero and you feel the phone vibrate. The only way to mute the phone is to set it to No Interruptions. Press the Vol Up or Down button and tap the None button. This will prevent any notifications or calls from coming through.

There have been so many complaints about this that I suspect Google will bring those functions back in future updates. (I sure hope so, so that we can reduce the number of threads about this!)
