[AC Question]

I have a Sony Xperia Z3 compact, and yesterday I upgraded it to the Lillipop Android (version 5.0.2) because the damn notification wouldn't leave me alone. Now, it's made me hate my phone.

Essentially, the notification system isn't working (what is even with the new sound/silent features?) and I can't get LED notifications. Long story short: I use an instant messenger app every day. A lot of the time, I kept my phone on silent (no vibrate) and I would still get a blinking LED light when I got a new message in the app, even when the screen is locked. With Lollipop, I get no LED notifications at all – I have to unlock my screen to see if I have any notifications at all.

Is there a way to fix this? I'm genuinely on the edge of resetting my phone to factory defaults to undo Lollipop. My Xperia was the best phone I've ever had until last night.

If that doesn't help, then try Light Flow to see if the LED light still even functions. If it does, you might just want to continue using that app, since it's pretty popular.
