Android 5.0 connectivity to Nikon WU-1a

I am trying to connect to a Nikon WU-1a WIFI network with a Samsung galaxy s5 running Android 5.0 and keep losing connection. I presume this is due to the relatively weak connection of the camera produced WIFI network relative to my mobile connection and other (home based) WIFI networks. Android 5.0 removed the ability to prioritize WIFI networks. Is there any other way I can maintain a reliable connection with this device? If not, Android, PLEASE patch 5.0 with an option to prioritize WIFI networks. Not all networks are created equal (or have the same purpose). When I want to connect to the network produced by the Nikon WU-1a device it has nothing to do with reliable internet access. In these situations, I want to connect to my camera (and nothing else). The WU-1a device is a potentially great device that is being ruined by Android thinking that it knows best. Please help!

i use wifi prioritizer from playstore, work great till theres a fix
