My phone is dead

A

AC Question

I have a new LGG3. It was fully charged this morning, I have not played with it today and have had one phone call. Now at 1:15 today the battery is dead. Do not understand why it drained so fast. It did not do this to me yesterday and I messed with the settings and such all day.

Welcome to Android Central.

What do your battery usage stats reveal to be the main users of charge for that period?

And look at the second page of battery stats (once you get a few hours of charge into the phone). (Tap the graph on the first page.)

If it shows a sudden drop to near 0, and/or if the battery charges surprisingly fast, it has a dendrite. (See Lithium Battery Dendrite links if you want to know a) what that's all about and b) how big a problem it is. [If an electric car's battery grows a dendrite while it's under warranty, it could cost the manufacturer $5,000, so they're definitely trying to find a way to prevent it.])
