Messages are sending but are saying failed, why?

Messages are sending but are saying failed

All my text messages over the past few days say they aren't sending and they come up with a failed notification, however the recipient is still receiving the messages and replying to them. Why are they saying they aren't being sent?

I have restarted the phone in safe mode but the problem is still persisting. How can I fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! They might not be helpful in this situation, but have you already tried asking the carrier?

One workaround might be to use a 3rd party messaging app like Textra or Chomp SMS.
