    i reset my password for the lock screen and then when I tried to "enter PIN" the password I thought I changed it to does not unlock the lock screen

    Welcome to Android Central! How did you reset the password--from within the phone's settings, or Android Device Manager? PIN and password are different--PIN is a number, while password is alphanumeric. Did you set an alphanumeric password, but the phone is still prompting you for a PIN?
