How do I get rid of verizon LTE carrier logo on the top part of the screen?

You know on the upper right part of the screen where the time, battery, and wifi icons are? The LTE logo there has a huge distracting 4G LTE logo with arrows flashing up and down. I think its because I have Verizon. How do I get rid of it.

I don't think you can, not on a stock device anyways. A rooted device you would have options available to deal with that.
