AC Question
I've got a Motorola Razr M (XT907, Verizon, SIM) that won't boot. I cleared the cache partition and did a so-called factory reset. Still when I cycle the power, it displays the Motorola "M" logo, goes into the Android animation and never gets beyond that.
The only other thing I could try, I think, is to flash it. I've never done this before. I'm not technically inept but I've never done this before and the online tutorials I've seen are a bit daunting (and many not as well-written as one might hope...).
So my questions are:
Could flashing result in a working handset?
Can you recommend a particularly clear tutorial?
Which ROM would you recommend? CyanogenMod was a Lifehacker fave, but that was several years ago.
Most importantly: if I screw up the flash process, can I recover and try again? Or am I doomed?
Thanks.
