How do I reset or fix a failed Odin download?

So I tried to flash a Samsung Galaxy fame using Odin and a flash of 4.1 android from sammobile.com. I had to change the name of the flash I downloaded from .tar.md5 to .tar to get it to initiate a start and be recognised by Odin binary. It was working fine until about a quarter of the way when it got to system.img and then it froze for about twenty minutes and there was no way I could cancel it so I unplugged it, it then would only restart or power off or on if I take the battery out but then it just boots to a screen saying "Failed software upgrade. Open in kids recovery" so I went to kids and then it just isn't being picked up at all, is there anything I can do to make lies pick it up or to get around this boot up screen? I would really appreciate help and I will provide any information needed for this to be resolved. Odin version 3.10.
